Tribe Talks are back in 2019!
It’s a new year and we know its a time when most business owners are planning for their year ahead. Whether you’re planning to enter new markets, develop new products or set yourself a load of new targets, we think there is one thing that you should be planning ahead of anything else… Your wellbeing.
So for this Talk we will be bringing together a group of experts to talk to you about things like starting your day right, managing periods of stress (because there’s always loads of that in business) and self care (check out our recent blog by Sarah Fussey on this topic). As usual, there will be lots of time after the presentation for networking and getting more top tips from the speakers.
The following speakers have been confirmed for our third Tribe Talk:
Pete Quinn, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Consultant: Pete’s experience includes leading multi-disciplinary teams, motivating people to achieve their potential and enabling diverse talent to thrive. He has worked and consulted in the UK, Israel, Hong Kong and Singapore. He is a non-executive Director of the South Bank Multi Academy Trust, sponsors #RunforJo and Hamilton Panthers FC and is a College Fellow of Derwent College, University of York and a Guest Lecturer at the Education University of Hong Kong.
Recently Pete’s been helping organisations large and small with their well-being strategies. This includes Public Health England, Glasgow University and the Higher Education Statistics Agency amongst others. He specialises in digital, physical and cultural inclusion projects with Universities including Oxford, York, Manchester, and Durham. Mark Willis, Trainer, York Mind: Mark is a qualified PGCE adult education teacher with a wealth of experience in teaching courses on Stress Reduction, Confidence/Resilience, Mental Health Awareness and Mindfulness. His classes for City of York Council were frequently sold out and well received by students, referring partners and even the local media.
